In final hours of the session, COHO was able to get inserted in the budget reconciliation bill a budget note which made it clear that as OHA moved forward with contracts that they would use actuarially sound rates and not “bid” process.
Out of hundreds of budget notes suggested for this bill, COHO’s budget was one of only three to make into the record. This budget note is added protection in ensure managed care in Oregon can continue to be successful.
